Lion is shot in Kenya – level 3

Killed for attacking a man while running wild in Kenya, this lion was shot dead after escaping from Nairobi National Park, thestray injuring a local resident along the way.

Kenyan rangers opened fire on the animal, fearing more people would be hurt. Footage shows the lion was trying to break free and run away whilst the gunshots and screams echoed in the air.

«I was expecting the KWS people to disable the animal because of that it became wild. And members of the public were also… their numbers were also growing up, so the population was growing, excitement was there.»

This is the third incident of a lion wandering from the park and causing chaos in the capital in the recent weeks. The previous strays were able to be captured and returned to protected areas. An entirely different ending in this case.

Soldier in the jungle – level 3

Finally found! Here’s the Colombian soldier who went missing for 23 days in the jungle. His fellow troops can be seen spoon-feeding this stray soldier after they found him alive and well after a jungle-wide search.

Yeffer Sanchez went missing three weeks ago in the wilderness of Colombia’s Central Meta Province. He said that somehow he became separated from his unit while on patrol in an area known for heavy rebel activity.

Weak and thin when he was discovered, he didn’t appear to have sustained any serious injuries. Speaking from the helicopter which was flying him to safety, Sanchez said he was grateful that his fellow comrades didn’t abandon the cause. The soldier said he spent most of his days walking around in search of a way out, and that he even resorted to making up his own rap songs to keep his spirits up. Surviving on plants, turtle meat and fruit, Sanchez said he went days without hydration.

And he was met with applause when he returned to his base. He’ll undergo a medical and psychological test before being reunited with his family, who he says were the inspiration behind his survival.

Սունկը մաքրել, լվանալ: Սնկի վրա սառը ջուր լցնել և դնել սառը տեղում: Հաջորդ օրը ջուրը թափել, սունկը հոսող ջրով լվանալ և շարել մեծ ամանի մեջ: Շերտ առ շերտ վրան աղ ցանել և համեմունքներ դնել: Վրան ծանրություն դնել: Սունկը պատրաստ կլինի 1,5 -2 ամիս անց: Պատրաստի սունկը պահել 5-6 աստիճանում լավ օդափոխվող սենյակում:

Chaplin’s World in Switzerland – level 3

It’s taken 15 years of planning and finally a museum showcasing the life and works of Charlie Chaplin is set to open its doors in Switzerland, paying tribute to the London-born comedian.

Chaplin’s World is set in a park on the estate of Manoir de Ban, in the village of Corsier-sur-Vevey on Lake Geneva. Chaplin spent the last 25 years of his life here, with his wife and their eight children.

The exhibition includes a Hollywood-style studio, a tour with images detailing Chaplin’s life and work, and a mock «Easy Street» – a setting for one of his classic movies. There are more than 30 wax figures, including people who mattered to him, like Albert Einstein, and artists, such as Michael Jackson.

Charlie Chaplin and his wife were forced to leave the United States in the 1950s during the McCarthy Era, as the actor was suspected to have communist sympathies. He died on Christmas Day in 1977 at the age of 88.

 

Little wombat is saved – level 3

This is the moment a baby wombat was found alive in its dead mother’s pouch.

Jodie Bradshaw, who runs FreeHearts Animal Sanctuary in Tasmania, noticed a dead wombat by the roadside. After approaching the carcass, she noticed the pouch wriggling. Initially she feared maggots, but then she saw a tiny paw poke out of the pouch. Bradshaw helps ease the now freezing infant out from its dead mother’s body. Finally, after a combined effort, the baby wombat is taken out and wrapped in a towel to restore its body heat.

Norma, another wildlife carer at the sanctuary, is keeping the baby in her bra to maintain its body temperature and recreate the same environment of its mother’s pouch.

The little wombat is said to now be at a good body weight and eating well, and the FreeHearts Animal Sanctuary are hoping that this video will encourage others to check dead animals for babies to prevent further unnecessary deaths.
